Insider Traders Lose AU$34k As Love Group Global Drops

The recent price decline of 22% in Love Group Global Ltd’s (ASX:LVE) stock may have disappointed insiders who bought AU$250.2k worth of shares at an average price of AU$0.10 in the past 12 months. Insiders buy with the expectation to see their investments rise in value over a period of time. However, recent losses have rendered their above investment worth AU$216.0k which is not ideal.

Although we don’t think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Love Group Global

In the last twelve months, the biggest single purchase by an insider was when Founder Michael Ye bought AU$120k worth of shares at a price of AU$0.10 per share. That means that even when the share price was higher than AU$0.09 (the recent price), an insider wanted to purchase shares. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company’s future. We always take careful note of the price insiders pay when purchasing shares. It is encouraging to see an insider paid above the current price for shares, as it suggests they saw value, even at higher levels. The only individual insider to buy over the last year was Michael Ye.

Michael Ye purchased 2.40m shares over the year. The average price per share was AU$0.10.
